![]() ![]() What I especially liked about this audiobook is the emphasis on practice. He then goes into detail about the various techniques for detecting deception, such as body language, micro-expressions, and verbal responses. Houston starts off by discussing the different types of deception, the various strategies people use, and how to identify them. The audiobook provides a comprehensive overview of the methods and techniques used by the CIA to detect deception and gives practical advice on how to use them in our everyday lives. ![]() As someone who has studied the art of detecting deception for many years, I was eager to hear what the former CIA Officers had to say and was not disappointed. ![]() I recently finished listening to the audiobook “Spy the Lie: Former CIA Officers Teach You How to Detect Deception” by Philip Houston and I highly recommend it. ![]() ![]() While we may not have these exact prejudices, we have others, and it’s not at all difficult to relate to the husband. In fact, he thinks the name “Beaulah” sounds like a black name, and his image of Robert’s wife as possibly being black contributes to their otherness for him. Robert and Beaulah, however, are unknown to the husband, and so their names are more a part of his impression of them. ![]() ![]() ![]() In Pride and Prejudice, at what moment does Elizabeth Bennet realize her true feelings for Mr Darcy. For some reason Clare, and the storyline felt very ‘done.’ Nothing about ‘ Clarity’ felt original. Neither is the love triangle which looked like it was forming.
